Guest duncan888 Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 If i ordered the C500 from the Orange website, how long does it take them to deliver?
Guest Eldorado Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 They say two-five working days. I ordered mine late on a Monday evening and got it the following Monday.
Guest duncan888 Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 who do they use to deliver, Royal mail special delivery, Parcel Force, UPS, etc?
Guest Dade Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 My handsets usually come via LINK.
Guest zippy172 Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 I ordered my C500 from O over the phone, it arrived the following day by Link... There were a few complications before that order and delivery mind... but that's another story :s
Guest lordtt Posted September 27, 2004 Report Posted September 27, 2004 Ordered mine on 6/9/04 arrived on 16/09/04,my order got "lost" in the system for 5 days! When asked about compensation-"if you are not satisfied use the 14 day return option" also 2 weeks to port number.
Guest pisquee Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 I ordered my c500 yesteday late afteroon, as an upgrade from e200, and was told it will be here tomorrow or friday at the latest - will let you know.
Guest cardinal__b Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 Ordered mine on 6/9/04 arrived on 16/09/04,my order got "lost" in the system for 5 days! When asked about compensation-"if you are not satisfied use the 14 day return option" also 2 weeks to port number. Thats been 2 weeks I have been without my old number as well. Got the phone and a new contract after being an O2 customer for a few years and presented my PAK? code to which I was told no problem we will arrange for it to be ported only to find out a week later that the shop had not contacted the appropriate people, very annoyed and my opinion on orange is going down hill fast, pity though another 50 weeks to go on the contract :? No problems with the phone so far though!
Guest shadamehr Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 I ordered mine last wednesday morning, while on holiday. I sent two follow up Emails asking for more info, and each time all I got back was "No problem, be with you soon". By the following Monday of this week, I was a bit peeved. So I rang up. Only to find it hadn't even been started (the order). They promised to sort it, but still wouldn't give a date, saying there were long delays with Web orders. So I walked into my local Orange shop at the Metrocentre, got them to do the same £30, 200 any net minutes, 500 texts deal. The only difference was that to get a £50 credit in the store, I had to hand over a phone, so I just gave them an ancient 5110 - pnline this credit was automatic. I came back, and then cancelled the other order. Next day I got a flowery apologetic Email back from Orange, saying it was a one off problem. The same 'one-off' problem, MORE than one of us seem to be having *lol* My advice - visit a store!
Guest Confucious Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 Ordered mine on a friday it arrived on the Wednesday. No probs -great phone :)
Guest pisquee Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 Well, to keep you informed - the delivey van came today (Orange said it would arrive today or tomorrw) Unfortunately I had to go out (and no-one else was in!) so they are redelivering tomorrow.
Guest Confucious Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 How do they deliver to "a ship"? How doe you go out from a ship? Don't you get wet? :)
Guest pisquee Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 I normally work on a ship, or ships, for the majority of the year (specifically the cruise liners run by P&O Cruises (UK) Ltd) ... at the moment I am on leave, and so am at home in UK. To answer your questions though, to deliver to a ship, you get the delivery sent to either the ship's home port for collection on return, or sent out to a future away port, for collection on arrival. To go out from a ship, you wait til it docks and go down the gangway, or if a tender port, you use a tender to take you ashore.
Guest adiohead Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Ordered mine on orange.co.uk and it took 4 days. It's taken just under 2 weeks to port my number over. I phoned them after 6 days from getting it and they said there was a system crash. I was really polite and said I didn't mind and they gave me a months free credit!!!!!!! WOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! I love my phone!!!!

Guest AndyBottomley Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Anyone ordered a C500 from Orange on-line in the last week or so ? I ordered mine on Thursday morning and just wondering if I can expect it this week. Quite eager as it's my first Smartphone (making the big jump from the world of Palm !).
Guest Confucious Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Give them a ring - they should be able to let you know when it will be dispatched. Good luck ^_^
Guest AndyBottomley Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Thanks Confucious. Wanted to avoid ringing them as I've heard some horror stories about Orange CS and didn't want to experience any myself before I actually get the phone ! ^_^ However I've just rung and they've said it should be with me tommorow. Looking forward to seeing if the C500 can manage to replace all the functions of my Sony Clie now !
