I'm trying to setup my C500 as a GPRS modem for a laptop running Windows XP Pro. According to C500 User Manual (Orange supplied), the appropriate driver (.inf) is contained on the C500 CD and/or the Orange website. I cannot locate anything suitable on the CD nor can I find it on the Orange website. Does anyone know what the filename(s) are and where they can be found?

it is in the root of the cd. disable active sync then windows will detect a htc device, click to install it, browse for the driver on to the cd and you will see it :)

i'm completly baffled by as to how im supposed to get my laptop to connect to the net with my c500 via usb.

i've disabled active sync, but when i plug the usb in my phone still comes up in device manager, as a Windows CE USB device > Smartphone USB Sync.

can anyone give me a step by step? or link me to one. it would be greatly appriciated.i'm completly baffled by as to how im supposed to get my laptop to connect to the net with my c500 via usb.

Can't find USB Modem Driver for my SMT5600, I have pointed it to the root of the cd, which has a file called USBMDM.INF, but that's not it..

are you sure? sounds like it to me! disable active sync and open the modem app on the phone then plug in, windows installer should try to install. Select install from directory and point to cd root?
