Guest jmoney37 Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 I just purchased a new battery for my 8390 off of ebay. The seller says that its a 1100 MAH battery instead of the usual 750. I just wanted to know what that means and what effects it will have if any? Thanx.
Guest crazyboy Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 I don't know if exist a 1100 mah battery for mitac but if exist the only effect for the phone is more vitality...The charge of battery is more than 750mah...more hours of use... Sorry for english
Guest jmoney37 Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 well thats what the auction said so that better be what i'm getting or else!!! And hey better battery life would be a dream come true for this phone.
Guest soliddog Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 but it should be an after-market product right? coz Mitac has not come out w/ anything like that as i know of
Guest jmoney37 Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 well i finally got my battery. I get much better performance from battery. I can play movies and talk more. Definetly worth the money.
Guest fracatta Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 Where have you found this new battery? and what's price? Thanks
Guest pwest13 Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 If you actually read the thread he says he bought it off ebay?
Guest fracatta Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 yes, that's right, but I can't find any battery for 8390 on ebay... so any further information is welcome! thanks
Guest pwest13 Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 it is extremely rare to find a 750 mah 8390 battery let alone a 1000mah one, there is one on ebay tho (750) - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...ssPageName=WDVW UK tho and ur in Italy :/
Guest markgamber Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 A word of warning....chances are that you will wait FOREVER for the battery to ship if you buy one. kttland was very apologetic, nice enough in email and promptly reimbursed me but I had waited several weeks (at least a couple of months) only to be told the batteries were backordered and he didn't know when he'd get them, let alone when I'd get one. This, of course, prompted the question: Can mitac do anything right? Anything at all. Hell, it doesn't even have to be related to a phone.
Guest jmoney37 Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 Actually my battery came pretty fast. Granted it did come from Taiwan to the United States, but it came much faster then i expected.
