Guest barkythedog Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 forgive my ignorance but how do u install this as theres lots of files and no direct cab , cheers the dog
Guest Disco Stu Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 RTFM Dog ! There's a PDF ReadMe in the zip. Basically unzip, then unzip RJTime and run the .exe PC-side. Put Coolblue .xml & .jpg into Application Data Home and select in Settings. :)
Guest mavisdavis Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 Looks really nice. great work. it would look even better without the bar at the top being visible.Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest stevo_knuckles Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 The update to include email and the caller id screen was a nice touch. Just out of interest there was a file called pspbrwse.jbf in the zip folder, now as I have no idea about how to compile homescreens or plugins etc I just wondered what it is/does and should I have placed it somewhere? cheers
Guest dshaugney Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 I installed it on my phone and I have to say it looks great. Keep up the good work.
Guest lukeap69 Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 looks great really. i hope extra skins will be included in the future update. lol
Guest Jonny_doe Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 I can't get this , i click the link and get ,'Fedora Core Test Page' can anyone help , as i wouldn't mind trying this
Guest shadamehr Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 The update to include email and the caller id screen was a nice touch. Â Just out of interest there was a file called pspbrwse.jbf in the zip folder, now as I have no idea about how to compile http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewforum.php?f=43>homescreens or http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=714>plugins etc I just wondered what it is/does and should I have placed it somewhere? cheers That's a Paint Shop Pro browser file - a cache or snaphsot of the thumbnails of a user's directory... It would have crept in there by accident, in that the author probably didn't mean to include it, BUT, would have added all the contents of his folder to the zip, and having browsed the folder in the past in PSP, there would have been a browser thumbnail file created then too. Much like the "thumbs.db" file microsoft creates in a folder when you browse thumbnails of a folder in Windows Explorer... These often get added by mistake too.
Guest stevo_knuckles Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Thanks shadamehr for the explanation
Guest shadamehr Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Thanks shadamehr for the explanation Not a problem mate. BIG NOTE to Theme Author though... Your website is DOWN - it just gives the web host error page. You'd be better off uploading the zip direct to your first post. Edit your first post, and upload a zip file of it mate - then it will always be available. HTH.
Guest olly_k Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Yeah I really want to try this h/screen too :)
Guest jim.mason Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 As Romankeller hasn't uploaded this skin yet, is there anyone out there that can attach this to a post so that the rest of us can enjoy this superb looking skin. Cheers
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 Kindly check the attachment.CoolBlue.zip
Guest RomanKeller Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Hi - I am very sorry ! My site is online again. 8)
Guest stretchie Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Hi.. Looks GREAT but downloaded, followed .pdf instructions and nothing's happened. Tried rebooting phone. Also re-installing but nothing... The phone responds asking me if I want to install and everything..?? Another thing.. I really want to try making my own.. What program can I download to build my own themes/skins? I got a simple one (to start with) 'Theme Generator Smartphone' but comes up with error message saying 'device does not have pocet PC 2002' at the end. I'd prefer one where I can move thiongs around, like the signal strengt and battery bars and add clocks and you know the score..
Guest siliconslave Posted October 14, 2004 Report Posted October 14, 2004 think the problems people are having is because there are two step to the process, and the pdf only mentions one of them - installing the clock plugin. You also need to copy the CoolBlue.home.xml & CoolBlue.jpg files to the StorageApplication DataHome dir and select that screen - should then work ^_^ I'm a bit confused thou that there appears to be a link between the apointment thing and the profile on the home screen which doesn't link to anything!? Brings up an error opening the shortcut message?
Guest stretchie Posted October 14, 2004 Report Posted October 14, 2004 I got it to work HURRAH But cant remember what I did. I just reset my phone to start again.. I am trying to get into making my own skins and had loads of crap on it so .. Whoosh bang.. RESET
