My mini SD won't fit!

I didn't bother when I first got my C500, too excited to mess about with that but now I've sold my old SD card and got the new mini one, I can't seem to make it fit. I'm probably just being really thick but I don't want to force anything. Any ideas?

You sure its a mini sd?

to fit the sd card pull back the metal retainer then the slide the tapered end toward the socket. then push card down and secure using retaining plate.

Dont really see where you could go wrong if you have the correct card. do you have a pic if the card you are trying to fit? ideally against the phone's socket

It's definitely a mini one, my phone is charging up a brand new battery at the moment but I'll have another go when it's off charge and post back if I have any more difficulties. Cheers for your help

I found the first time I went to fit my miniSD I found it hard

to get it to fit. Gentle pressure and it slides into place.

You have to put the card under the bit on the left of the phone, then it will fit.

I thought it would not fit but the worked it out :)

Well that's not at all an obvious procedure from either the manual or what's in front of one. :?

So here's a guide for those without a qualification in electrical engineering

Ths silver clip should be slid back towards the side of the phone.

Gold contacts go to gold contacts, so push the mini-SD under the brass (?) clip on the opposite side with contacts down towards the phone contacts.

The card is now waggling it's arse in the air.

Gently push it down and slide the silver clip across to pin it down.

Now try to get the thin 'n' crispy plastic cover back on the phone. It slides back into place eventually with a bit of effort and some swearing.

Look, I'm 43 years old, with failing eyesight and fat stubby fingers :evil:
