Orange SPV c500 questions - first post!

Hi,

First post, just ordered the SPV c500, arrives tomorrow.

Have spent a lot of time going through this forum which is a great resource however I have a few unanswered questions:

1. Whats the compatibility like with Nokia phones – ie. business cards, photo/video messages etc. A lot of my friends are on Nokia and I’m not sure if these things are standardised?

2. There appears to be an XP style ‘auto update’ download of upgrades etc. Is this right.

3. Is the charger compatible with any other phones? (I have about 100 nokia chargers)

4. People talk about apps such as betaplayer, where I can find more out about the available apps, and where can I down load from?

Many thanks for you help in advance, I’m starting to get nervous now about having windows on yet another piece of tech…

1. with nokia fones u can send and recieve business cards and also fotos and videos..but the videos have to in the correct nokia formats.. i.e. 3gp/h.263 or mp4

2. most of the updates are thru the bootloader screen.. see hard reset 4 more details on getting there

3. its a usb charger.. so u can also charge it off ur PC/laptop.. in cant take nokia chargers or probably any other chargers of the market

4. search them off modaco search or just try monolithix's website

anything else i should know? it is a good phone isnt it? never had anything other than nokia - arrives tomorrow so should find out!
