E200 - Freezing

I have a E200 (although here in Dubai its branded the smartphone 2). At least twice a day the unit locks up completely and no button pressing makes any difference. The only solution is to take out the battery and reinsert and restart. This is obviously a pain in the proverbial.

I've tried a hard reset and this did nothing and I'm on the point of throwing the thing in the sea and forgetting about it. :evil:

Has anybody else had the same problem and anybody found a solution?

Do I purhaps need an upgrade of some sort?

try rerunning the update found here . this is the imate smartphone 2 2.6 update which i understand to be the most recent
