C500 Custom Ring tone and e-mail problem

I have just spent the weekend getting to grips with my C500, and there are two issues that I hope someone can help me with.

Custom Ring Tones I have transferred some Midi files ringtones from my old T610 which work fine when selecting them in the profile as a ring tone, however when trying to attach them to a contact, they were not available. On further investigation I found that I needed to transfer them to the /Windows/ directory however now the name appears in the list but then I get an error message saying that the ring tone is not working correctly and have to reselect one of the ones that were pre-installed. This is very annoying, as I know that the phone is capable of playing them as I can select them as a ringtone for a profile.

e-mail I have set the phone up for downloading my orange e-mail via pop3. When I select send and receive, it downloads the first 500bytes of the last 3 days (as specified in settings) and then the status bar shows it continues to download another the remaining e-mails in my inbox. When it gets the end of downloading the remaining e-mails (which are not shown on the screen but presumably the data amount is subtracted from my download allowance), then it disconnects and deletes all the emails from the inbox on the phone including those from the last 3 days. WHat am I doing wrong.

In addition, the e-mail on my PC is also the orange e-mail account and therefor the mail sync'd with outlook when connected is a duplicate of what I see on the orange.net account that I created. Can I set the phone to download the orange.net e-mails into the outlook inbox on the phone rather than effectively having two accounts with the same e-mails in them.

Well I have solved the ringtone problem - the midi files needed to be in the /storage/application data/sounds folder (although surprisingly only when attaching to a contact as it was able to find them for the normal ring tone.

The e-mail problem is half solved. The remaining problem I have now is that I leave copies of all my e-mail on the pop server until I delete them on my PC. This means there are regularly over 100 e-mails in the inbox. When i select send and receive on the phone, it downloads and displays the last 3 days (as per settings) but then shows in the status bar that it is continuing to download the remaining e-mails (but does not display them). I presume that the data is coming through and hence is using up my monthly allowance.

Any help with this would be appreciated.
