Guest J273 Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 Anyone noticed or is it just me that when i play a midi on the c500 it plays alot better than what they did on the SPV (Classic) and e200 ,I find that they seem to play with full midi support and sound great,Much preferd to wavs and WMA's.

Full MIDI support implies that there is a way of using a MIDI controller (keyboard) or sound module (synth) with the phone, i.e. via using a MIDI cable. 2. Why is a MIDI file preferable to an actual recording of whatever sound you want your phone to play? - if they really were better, wouldn't everyone listen to MIDI files and not actual recordings?

Guest Exploited Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 I've owned a Nokia 7650 previously and I must say that the midi-support on the C500 is very limited. Most MIDI-files that play fine on the PC and on my old Nokia are hard to listen to for the musical ear. I don't know what MIDI-support the C500 actually offers, but it is definitely NOT very functional.

I don't know what PC-soundcard you are using, but you surely don't really think it sounds the same? If you want I could send you a couple that, to my view, are really great General Midi-files. The more 'advanced' of those make the difference the clearest.
