Hello,

We are the developers of quite famous PocketPC and Symbian shooter "SkyForce".

Now we are in the proces of porting it to MS Smartphone. Could you please download beta version of the game and try if its working on your device? Beta demo version can be downloaded from:

At the moment we have only tested it with SPV Canary device. So we'd love to hear a feedback from people with other devices.

Please send any comments about the performance, inputs or any other issues.

works fine on tanager, but doesnt work at all on 2k3 devices, very nice though :)

your only worry will be the same probs we are having in that the C500, which is the biggest selling MS Smartphone currently, doesnt support multipress, however, thats with the joystick, which is terrible for gamng anyways.

SkyForce was cool on my P900

But i've got a C500 so I can't test it (according to midnight, who I'm happy to trust)

I'll probably buy it when it works on the C500, so get to it :)

I thought that I'd give it a go on my C500 regardless, but I got the following error message during installation...

"Infinite Dreams SkyForce Demo.CAB failed to install on your device because the installation file is not intended for this device."

yeh, i've also extracted the exe + data file and ran the exe on the c500 and that initially starts loading, but quits before the first screen is displayed.

worked perfect on my i-mate 1 phone

maybe a message telling users of not having enough memory would be a good thing....

i thought the game had problem but i find out i was low on memory!

Copied the Skyforce directory from the SPV to the C500 and it works OK :lol:

Game looks fantastic on the C500 but the scroller bar and multikey problem make it very difficult to play :lol: Tried using the keypad for movement which helped a bit :)

As roozbeh says, try closing down all background apps and even try restarting the phone if you have problems.

I can't get this to work on C500 either - looks like a great game, so I really hope the installer fro 2003se devices can be made!! :)

I installed the game on my MPX200 (2002 OS, unlocked) and it works fine on my phone.

Very nice game.

Is very nice!! But IMO this genre has been covered enough already and i would prefer developers to focus their abilities elsewhere.

What do you mean with this genre? I'd like to see more games like this, or i just can't find them..

I have been playing invasion, but that game really sucks compared to skyforce! Yet, the skyforce demo is far too short too keep me busy :wink:

Games ala Odyssey, Eclipse First Wave, scrolling shooting games- i'm sure there are plenty more. Having said that this is the best one i've seen, shame i hadn't already bought the other two or i would've snapped this one up!

So if i want some scrolling blasting action i've already got two to choose from, hence me saying i think this genre is sufficiently covered. ^_^

Works fine on my C500. Follow instruction below:

Try to install via activesync. Will not install on C500. Find cab file on pc and extract. Rename the files as follows...

skyfor~1.001 to skyforcedemo.exe

0000data.002 to data.pak

0000game.003 to game.log

skyfor~1.000 is the link file skyforce demo.lnk

Stick on storage card and run

No problems apart from the annoying christmas log for joystick

extracted the data from the cab and renamed the files per the above post and demo runs very good and very smooth on my i600. You guys just need to work on the installer. I wish i had a gameboy style magnifying glass for my screen though.

That game is WICKED AWESOME. 110% replica of one of the best arcade style games. Hope your just about done with it so we can all buy into it...
