Guest dahquim Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Hey all.. I have been thinking (a dangerous habit, i know) I have my phone plugged into USB at work a lot, and also have the phone on silent (to avoid disturbing the rest of the office). what i was thinking was how easy would it be to have a Windows APP that ran in the system tray and popped up a message when calls, sms, mms etc. were received. AND.... take the Call through the computer, E.G with a headset and mic plugged into the sound card?? How easy would this be... i have VB knowledge, but have never needed to communicated with external hardware. Dahquim
Guest pisquee Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 you can take a call through your PC, if your PC has bluetooth on it.
Guest Pigo Posted October 2, 2004 Report Posted October 2, 2004 hmm... I have an MPx200 so no bluetooth. interesting idea mate. Hope somebody could/would make this app. Would make my life easier. no more typing with one hand and holding phone with the other. Pigo
Guest nickcornaglia Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Someone could probably make the notification app....but I dont believe the voice data goes thru the USB...so that may not be possible.
Guest uzi_999 Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 i remember the motorola a38(whatever,,, u know, the HUGE one on the three network),, when i synced that with my laptop an image of the fone would appear on my desktop and then u could use it as a virtual fone. u could click on buttons on the fone and it would be just like pushing the buttons physically. and that was a serial connection so it should be possible with USB MS Smartphones
