Hotmail and Smartphone!!!!!! - HELP

I have manged to get hotmail working on my phone via a Izymail account, I can send and recieve manually but it wont seem to connect automatically every 1hour for example and somtimes when I go to the inbox the word disconneting... appears but never goes away and I have to kill it using task manager. I am using a SPV C500. Any help would be appreciated.
