Guest jackiec500 Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 how do i change to custom ringtones.. i can only seem to scroll through default ones.. will mp3's work as ringtones like nokias? thanks. (spv - c500)
Guest chucky.egg Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Yeah, I think so, but they either need to be in StorageApplication DataSoundsringtone.mp3, or in Storage Cardringtone.mp3
Guest Maksymilian Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 ehmm, doesnt seem to want to work on my c500 either (with either of the paths)!
Guest phAn Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 it doesn't do mp3. It does wav, it does wma, it does mid. I'm not sure about polyphonic ringtones (however these usually are in .mid format - yet sometimes in some other format which I haven't succesfully tested). It does not do mp3 as a ringtone, at least for as far as I know. But a conversion to wma or wav is easily done.
Guest midnight Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 also supports 3gp (and m4a/mp4 if you rename to 3gp)
Guest mavisdavis Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Loads of ringtones are available in the Customisation thread. Personally I use WMA tones converted from mps I have chopped up :)
