Guest fuzzi_dood Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 people! Desperate help needed! i have an SPV C500. i loaded a homesceen up thismorining, and it came up with errors, that it couldn't find specific files needed for it. media player then crashed, forcing me to restart (by taking battery out!, as power button was no longer responding!), as when i tried to end all tasks, there was still a terrable noise coming out from the speaker via Media Player...even though media player was no longer running! after restarting the startup screen was frozen, and has stayed like that ever since. the network light/bluetooth light is flashing, and i can recieve calls. that about it! it is NOT responding to a hard reset via the button on the side, but active sync still connects fine! :? i can see all files on storage card/ispm. what should i do? can anyone suggest something please? kinda desperate!
Guest Pondrew Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 First suggestion: don't put HTC Typhoon issues in the HTC Canary/Tanager section of the forum. People won't know what you're talking about. And if you really want to know what to do why are you making it hard for yourself by hiding your topic from your fellow C500 owners. Second suggestion: stop trying to use the hard reset procedure of the HTC Canary/Tanager. You own a C500, also know as the HTC Typhoon. If you look in the HTC Typhoon/C500 section, or alternatively search for the C500 hard reset routine, you'll find that it involves use of the two softkeys, not the side button (I assume you mean the record button talked about in SPV/SPV E100 hard reset topics). Anyway, have a look round and you should find the answer. Finally: good luck! :)
