Guest scopes64 Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 I am looking for members who have unlocked their C500 and have it running on T-Mobile UK. I have unlocked mine and all works weel, including internet via GPRS but not MMS. Is there anyone out there who has it all working and will share settings etc?
Guest martin Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Hi scopes64 I have a T-mobile PAYG SIM but I haven't tried it yet. Can you try an MMS with text only ? No image, sound or background colour - just text. Does the text only MMS work ?
Guest scopes64 Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Just tried the text only MMS, same problem. It creates the GPRS connection then goes into sending ... and just stays there for about a minute or so, then you get the error MMS "System Adm... Message status" The message is truncated on the screen and if you try and open the message you get a grey screena nd then it drops back to the menu! Just need to crack this last prob and I will be 99.9% happy with my new phone.
Guest scopes64 Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 Getting clost to throwing in the towel on this one .... last attempt. Guest tiger33 Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 my mms works fine and im on T-MOBILE using the mms what i did to get it working was use these settings Create GPRS connection Description : t-mobile MMS Connects to : MMS connection Access point: general.t-mobile.uk User name: user Paswword: one2one and First field: t-mobile MMS IP: 149.254.211.010 Port: 9201 Mmsc Address: http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002 with the mms settings u also need to do the following Click messaging > media messages > menu > options > Account Setup > Media Messages > (for server) press menu then EDIT CONNECTIONS u add the following First field: t-mobile MMS IP: 149.254.211.010 Port: 9201 Mmsc Address: http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002 Data Connection (MMS Network) Gateway (WAP1) then add your ports and IP addresses by telling it to use MMS network u are telling the phone to use the following settings that u should have created in data connections (via main menu > settings) Create GPRS connection Description : t-mobile MMS Connects to : MMS connection Access point: general.t-mobile.uk User name: user Paswword: one2one give that a try with basic text to an email address let me know how it goes
Guest scopes64 Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 Thanks for the feedback. In summary .... I can make calls, send texts, surf the web (GPRS) and I have received the odd MMS message .... but cannot send MMS. All my settings match the above, which are the standard T-Mobile settings which I got from T-mobile themselves. But no Joy. Tiger33, can ou confirm that you are using mms, full picture etc, using you C500 on T-Mobile? Maybe I should do a hard reset of my phone and start stup again. Not done this since a sim unlocked the phone. Maybe a clear out would help, then again would this just add back all the orange stuff !!
Guest tiger33 Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 yes i can confirm im on t-mobile using full MMS just change your settings like i say then give it a go and send to an email address if it doesnt work then send one to yourselve or get someone to do that as sometimes t-mobile's mms service will not start working until ive received or send an message (this activates it)
Guest scopes64 Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 All done and fixed! Thanks for the help .... now I REALLY like my C500
Guest tiger33 Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 All done and fixed! Thanks for the help .... now I REALLY like my C500 no worries glad to have helped
Guest shadamehr Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 All done and fixed! Thanks for the help .... now I REALLY like my C500 What was the problem, do you know?
Guest scopes64 Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 Not sure to be honest. I made no setting changes as they were as outlined by tiger33. All i did was send an MMS to my email address and it seemed to kick into life!! I suppose it could have been a localised T-mobile problem, then again all weekend! I doubt it. There is only one other thought, when I said I didn't change any settings I did tweak one. I changed my Mmsc Address as mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002 to http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002 I had assumed the settings assumes http:// ... I wonder if they do. I could remove and test again but the old adage rings true .. "if it aint broke .. don't mess"
Guest cbch Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Does everyone have the CSD Wap connection working? If so please post the settings.
