Guest allmo4001 Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 I have a problem because i'm on Orange pay as you go and choose the 500 texts and 200 free minutes plan and i want to find out which of the following data connections, orange wap, orange csd wap and gprs, will take minutes off my free minutes because i dont want to be charged for mb of downloads n stuff
Guest pisquee Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 CSD, is a standard dial-up type connection, so you will be charged for be the minute of your connection, rather than by megabytes transferred, but the connection will be slower than a GPRS connection, and still the miutes will not come out of your free/included bundle - they will be charged as additional minutes.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 With GPRS you are charged for the ammount of data sent and recieved rather than by the time you are connected. WAP is charged by the minute though.
