Hi everyone, i recently purchased the mpx200, and everything is great. Right now im thinking of upgrading to the windows mobile 2003.... already got the upgrade on me but... man im scared! I was wondering if theres any program or any other way out there to backup the smartphone 2002 OS so I can reflash and go back with no worries????? I seen some out there but I think those are older versions and I would like one with the fixes already installed on my mpx... I mean if they have a backup then there has to be a way right???

Welcome to the site :)

There is not a way to backup your phone with the existing 2002

OS.

The only 2002 that can be installed is the leaked one from motorola as as with the 2003 this is also an ilegal update.

More importantly is why do you want to upgrade? a lot of people

have upgraded because it was there to do and now wish they had not done so due to the features you lose like a decent T9 and the use of MMS.

yeah actually after hours and hours of reading peoples experiences I decided its a bad idea to upgrade and im not going to go with it. instead, anyone know of what fixes are out for the mpx200 so far. nothing in particular but basically as much as possible (that doesnt screw up anything else that is). heck even useful programs that you thought were great installing on the mpx200 would be very much appreciated. Actually... one thing that does bother me, when using text i noticed that the letters sort of skip when going through to get to a certain letter. for example whenever I want to type in d, itll skip right to f... it gets very annoying considering i text a lot. perhaps theres a registry setting for this???
