Guest equ1nox Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 Hi All, I have not had my SPVC500 long but I heard recently that you can fit a full dvd easily on the C500 (mini sd card) and still get good quality and framerates Can anyone recommened the tools required to do this and where to get them from and what resolution to use and bit rate to encode to fit the screen size whilst optimising file size. Also what size do they usually come out at i.e what size mini sd card am I looking at getting to do to be able to store a standard movie on? Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks to all in advance who post to this thread. EQ!

There are various applications you can use to convert movies but I use DVD decrypter and PocketDivXencoder. Basically you want to go for the biggest SD card you can afford. 512MB is preferable as this will allow you to store a movie, several CD's in MP3 and a lots of applications and games. I have a 512MB mini SD card but will probably buy a 1GB mini SD card when it's released 8)
