Did a quick search on the site, could not find the answer.

Is it possible to edit the words in the t9 custom dictionary on the c500. I have a few words that have got in by mistake that are messing my t9 entry.

Thanks

Yer i was gonna ask this too!

Plus if i type the wrong work is there a way to go back to the word to select a different word on T9

and can i stop it from predicting my next word from stuff i have typed ages ago?

Thanks!!!

Bump - removing t9 words - how...

Cos every time i type "ok" on my phone, it first suggests "Mj" whatever that is meant to mean...

i find if i type a word it automatically goes to the top of the t9 list next time i type the same keys

also maybe idea not to have t9 learning sexual / swear words :)

I found a quick way of deleting your custom T9 dictionary, gets rid of the errounious entries of course.... you just have to enter your custom words again :?

Go into Storage Application Data and delete T9AW.UDB

To delete the file ensure no apps are running on the c500 that will use your t9 dictionary.

It worked for me :)

Nope, I have searched high and low for days. Nothing. Found a T9 editor for the E200 but it doesn't work for the C500.

Don't mean to sound thick, am new to all this wonderful technology, but how do u know if apps are runningusing T9 and how can I be sure they're shut down. Don't seem to have anything else running but still won't let me delete T9AW.UDB ^_^

two quick ways ....

1) start / Accessories / Task Manager , then in Task manager menu / Stop All.

or

2) Power our phone off and on and then delete T9AW.UDB via activesync explore before ou do anything on the phone.

Hope that helps

I personally think the T9 functions are better than the Nokias. i can creat e whole sentences as a new word ..saves me loadsa time when textin.

Its no bother to me to scroll down 1 or 2 spaces when you consider the amount of typing i'm actually saving this way ^_^

Thats my 2p worth
