Guest AngelOfRage Posted October 5, 2004 Report Posted October 5, 2004 Hi, is there anyway to download a file attatched to an email? Ive tried emailing myself a .CAB file but when i try to open from the email it says "messaging will not allow you to open it due to it being unsafe" (or something along those lines) any ideas? ive tried changing it to a .DOC but then it doesn't give me an option to save the attatchment...
Guest fozzie Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Either get the free attachsmart (SFI) or: 1. Click attachment. 2. When error message is on screen, hit 'home' key. 3. Use a file explorer to browse to StorageApplication DataVolatile. 4. Voila! Attachment is sat there ready to be copied to the directory of your choice. This isn't new info btw :)
Guest Lojt Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 Or you can send it as a .wav file, and when the phone tries to play it, you can select 'save' from the menu. It will then be in the app data/home/sounds dir.
Guest fozzie Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 What advantage does that give? Two additional activities are required; the file needs to be renamed by both the sender and receiver.
