No vibrate on mpx200

For some reason or other my phone won't vibrate when answering a call. Or anything else for that matter. Did a master reset but still no joy. I don't know if that is the same as a hard reset or not but thats all I get no matter how long I hold the blue button and power on. It says it is formatting the flash and IPSM. The phone did take a tumble about 2 days ago but I'm not sure if the vibrate worked since then. Any advice would be appreciated. Otherwise I guess I'll be stuck taking it in for repairs.

You have to set the vibrate in SettingsProfile

If you have done that the vibrate motor may have been dislodged but I find that hard to believe that happened as it's securly mounted.

Yeah, tried all kinds of settings in the sound profile and nothing. Kept hoping that it was a software thing but after a master reset and taking the battery in/out a bunch of times it is looking like hardware. Going to take it in this morning as I don't really don't see anything else to try.

Called Motorola and I'll need to send it in at min cost of 75.00. Think I'll wait to see if I can live without vibrate. And to see how much the new 220's cost :wink:

I should probably let this die but I'm pretty stubborn. After a master reset and putting my SD card in I can select 2 wav files off of my SD card. How is this possible. I thought you needed something like Jeyo (which I had installed) to get ring tones off of your memory card? Is the registry not written over during a master reset?

The phone is rewritten on a master Reset.

Rintones can be on the Storage card in My Documents, this is

normal. You cannont have custom ringtones on the storage card though.
