Installing PHM Registry Editor on C500

OK, now I’m p****d....

Downloaded the PHM Registry Editor and installed it on my PC, with ActiveSync running and my C500 connected via the USB cable. BUT, the bloody thing won’t install on the C500!?!?

I've seen a lot others using it, writing about it, and so on, but how do I install it?? Usually I'm no noob to computers, but this is beginning to show a problem for me.

Could it be that the C500 is locked for installing certain programs (and skins for the matter!)??? I've tried installing the AI C500 unlocked skin, but had to go with the unlocked skin because the other wouldn't.

Please help me here... do I need to unlock the phone before using it???

LooneyNutz, have you tried downloading the cab file instead ?

Goto http://www.phm.lu/Products/Smartphone/RegEdit/

Click Download PHM registry Editor

Change Package selection to Smartphone 2002/3003 ARM/PXA

Then just copy the cab file to the smartphone and activate it :)

Your C500 will need application unlocking, follow the link below, I know it doesnt mention c500 but it works:

After unlocking, you will be able to install apps - and homescreens.

OK it helped just downloading the ARM.CAB file.... thank you :)

I'm not sure I want to unlock my phone just yet... have to play a little more with it before really messing it up... hehehe :twisted:

But it really is cool to set the reg for something else.......

Now where is that backup button? LOL
