Guest stuuuu Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Quick question - Just wondering if the C500 uses the widcomm BT stack instead of the MS one? Even better has anyone got it working with an iPaq 2210, have so much hassle with my E200 im ready just to go back to nok*a just to get the internet on my iPaq. Cheers
Guest stuuuu Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Why am I not surprised :) thanks for the reply mate...I think ill take a raincheck on a Windows Mobile phone until they start using widcomm stack.....nokia lies ohhh joy!!
Guest Confucious Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Why do you need a Smartphone AND an iPaq? I was accessing the internet over BT with my pocketPC and T68 ages ago but now I've got a C500 I've dumped my PPC. If you need a PPC then surely a dumb phone with BT will do but I've found with the C500 I don't need a PPC.
Guest dmr54 Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 fozzie, did the you have to do anything out of the ordinary to get teh 4150 and the c500 working together? I have this setup and can pair them no problem but it will not make a net connection via gprs just keeps disconnecting, any advice would be much appreciated. I had no such problems with my old 2210 and the c500 ^_^
Guest fozzie Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 You probably need to add the following modem initialization string: +cgdcont=1,"IP","orangeinternet","",0,0 You should be dialling *99#
Guest dmr54 Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Thanks man, I'll give it a whirl UPDATE: Fozzie you are a star, it took a reboot of both phone and 4150 but now it works a treat, have a virtual beer mate ^_^
