Guest J273 Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Ive had my c500 since when it was released and ive noticed that the rocker as got more loose as ive used it and i can push the button from side to side,As anyone else had this or not :)
Guest squall Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I have been using my c500 and i havent had any issues. Have you contacted orange? id imagine they would give you a replacement without to much hassle
Guest shadamehr Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Mine seems a little lose, so I'm gonna keep an eye on it...
Guest mavisdavis Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Yeah had mine since Tuesday and noticed this also my battery cover slides slightly
Guest midnight Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 the rocker is supposed to move slightly, they all do that (as does the battery cover, only half a mill though, and you have to move it with your hands, it doesnt seem to slide around too much under normal use)
Guest damo2576 Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 mine arrived and the down on the rocker didnt work. orange replacing tomorrow. have their been many issues with the rocker? seems to me its not the most elegant nor functional solution
Guest midnight Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 the thinking behind the rocker (and i kinda agree to some degree) is that 90% of the phones functions are used with only the up/down motion of the joystick/joypad, such as going through menus, start menu, homescreen, PIE, most apps etc. and so an up/down rocker is an ideal solution. But, if you need to use left/right its a bit naff, mainly because of the distance between left and right you have to move your thumb along the rocker a considerable distance which is not very good (terrible in fact). And of course, the rocker is pretty dreadfull at all but basic games.
Guest J273 Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 I think what made mine worse is me playing doom
Guest Chaser81 Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 Havent had any issues with my rocker switch, but I have noticed a slight amount of play on the battery cover. This is to be expected though, so not alarmed in the slightest.
Guest RT87 Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 Top black shell above camera creaks a little, no problem there though. Battery cover creaks a little, but coming from cheap nokias, it doesnt bother me. The rocker when pushed side to side clicks a bit, but also not worries. I'v had the phone exactly a week.
Guest floppydonkey Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 I think it is to be expected from a fairly small manufacturer. Not all phones can be as well made as Sony Ericssons! Dull OS but the build quality and plastics are top dollar. Anyway, just keep 'rinsing' the Orange care cover
Guest midnight Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 HTC, small manufacturer????? they make the XDA/MDA range, SPV's, latest iPaq, Dell Axim, Treo 650 and a few others
