hi guys....been a fan of backup since my e100 days. c500 has been backing up well for a couple of months but for the last week i get "backup is unable to complete contacts database. this is usually the result of the file being used by another program please shut down this program or skip"

i dont think i have another prog running.....if i skip, everything is backed up except contacts.

any ideas?

Just put my oar in here, but if you return data to the phone using Orange Restore you can't sync that data with Outlook using Activesync. Or at least that was the case about a month ago.

have restarted the phone but not a hard reset.........just tried another back up...still the same.... ^_^

uodate for those following thread.....

backup now working...(but still refuses to backup my contacts list)

orange called today, they really have been very good with this, they ring me every other day !!!

looks like we are gonna do a hard reset...she said there was a corrupted file....and the os needs reloading as well !!

I'll let you know what happens
