Guest rizzles Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 hi i just got my c500 and i am unable to move the startmenu shortcuts into the accessories folder. i have tried using smart explorer to do this. any ideas? i just read that you have to have your phone unlocked to do this but my phone is unlocked. i never had this problem on my mpx200 Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Lojt Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 You have to unlock it from the OTA site.
Guest rizzles Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 yes my phone is unlocked but i still get an error message when trying to cut and paste shortcuts into different folders Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Lojt Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 Its not properly unlocked, try again.
Guest HurricaneDave Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 this happens to me on my e200 aswell, it seems that the ota does NOT completely unlock the phone , altohugh it allows you to install unsigned apps it doesnt allow you to move files that are marked as system files(which some of the start menu shortcuts are) ,, you need to find and use the aeunlock program (dont ask for it on here tho) after using that you can move ANY of the start menu icons
Guest rizzles Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 thanks dave ill give it a go Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest fozzie Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Woooaaahh! The phone doesn't need to be unlocked at all. It's just that some of the shortcuts have the System attribute set and Smart Explorer can't move them. Just use the built-in File Explorer and they can be moved! Tip: Don't move any of the ones that the Orange Homescreen plugin uses otherwise they will fail. Instead, COPY the shortcut to where you want it and change the properties of the the original one to 'hidden' ^_^
