Guest DrPhac Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 Hi all I wás a happy user of betaplayer for my divx movies. Yet my battery was all gone, and i lost some data; I lost betaplayer and some games halfway, resulting in a situation in which i cannot delete the games and betaplayer, and i cannot install/restore them either. Does anybody know what i can do? I don't mind using another DivX player if it works fine, but i tried PocketMVP but it won't play any of my encoded files ( I resize my files with the PocketDivxEncoder of which a link can be found on the site of betaplayer). I only get a greenish moving screen! Does anyone have a solution? (next to formatting my smartphone  ) Thanks!
Guest squall Posted October 9, 2004 Report Posted October 9, 2004 its likely you suffered a partial reset, its a known problem with draining the battery to much. I would hard reset and start again, backing contacts etc up first. If you installed everything to the storage card you could just recreate the shortcuts using windows explorer placing them in the phones start menu

Does anybody know what i can do? If I remember right, Betaplayer was installed from the PC. If you select Tools-Add/Remove Programs from the PC activesync program you will probably find Betaplayer (and others) unticked. Try highlighting them and clicking Remove. Then try re-installing Betaplayer again. Hopefully that should work ^_^
Guest DrPhac Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 No, i already tried the activesync delete and install, it doesn't work; it won't delete and it gives an error on install.. I'll have to go for the hard reset i think ^_^
Guest squall Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 A hard reset is recomended after a automoatic partial reset, as you have no way of knowing that there arent more files that are corrupt, also you can end up with parts of programs etc lost in the phones memory taking up space.
Guest DrPhac Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 Yeah , thanks, initially, i didn''t want to do this, but i did a hard reset after all and everything works fine now again. It is just a bit of re-installing everything ...
