Silver finish on scroll bar wearing off

Has anyone experienced the painted silver finish wearing off on the leading edge of the highest "nodule" of the scroll bar? I've only had my C500 for two weeks and its been well played with.

The worn parts have turned black where the silver has come off. This is not a major problem and does not affect the functionality of the phone.

I reckon some aluminium Humbrol enamel could be blended in to cover the bits where its gone black but again these would wear off over time.

I suppose you could then dab a thin bead of clear varnish over the top.

My solution well not really solution is that the top of the raised part is because of the scroll up and scroll down. I used a slight bit of Gunmetal silver and watered it down slightly and it seems ok now. But its not a perfect match yet.

Unfortunately i am another one that can be added to the number.However i dont really think it matters that much and as i rarely sell my phones on to me it shows how much i am actually utilising the phone so ill see it as a good positive thing ^_^
