Guest fozzie Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 errm, how about in the "Customisation - Homescreen Download" forum for a start! For help, try the "Customisation - Discussion" or even the "Help and Advice" forum.
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 Hi jbartdomingo. Welcome to MoDaCo ^_^ Heres what you can do... 1. Choose the homescreen you want to install. Visit: a. MoDaco Homescreen Section b. Airfagev Skins Section c. Lemondude Skins 2. Installing CAB (.cab)/ .hme files CAB (.cab) file is a relative of ZIP (.zip). Though it looks like a .zip file and uses the same icon, it should not be unzipped. CAB format applications should be copied into your Smartphone 'as is' and installed from there (see procedure). 1. Active synch your phone 2. Copy .cab files to IPSMWindowsStart MenuAccessories In your phone...Click Programs > (more...) > Accessories 3. Select the .cab file 4. Press Action (joystick) 5. Select where do you want to store the application (this screen appears when you have Storage Card installed) Note: CAB files (installer) will automatically be removed from your memory after installation. You can also copy the CAB file into to your Storage Card and install from there. Of course, you need Smart Explorer (and the like) to make this possible. I hope that helps 8)

Guest fozzie Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 nice to see helpful people like pzee. we could do without sarcastic asses like fozzie.I think you'll find that my post was factually 100% correct in directing the poster to the 3 main forums where all the information asked for is readily available and being discussed on a daily basis. Unlike your post, which has added absolutely nothing to the thread nor helped in any way to answer the original posters questions. Thanks. if you dont like peoples posts, dont reply? Couldn't have put it better myself. Follow your own advice yeah, and keep the abuse for your school chums. :-#
Guest SkUk21 Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 when a new person joins modaco, its nice to be greeted with a nice helpful post like pzee's. after reading your post, i wouldnt be surprised if he never posted another one again. im sure you would not like it, if it happened to you. i've read a few of your posts now, which have been sarcastic, and i hope after being told you that its not nice, you will not do it again. Thanks
Guest drblow Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Now, now girls ... put the handbags away please! ^_^ To be fair, I think Fozzie's original post could have been alot more sarcastic. The fact is, the forum has a SEARCH facility. New members are well advised to use it before making posts requesting info which is easily found. It is difficult for long term members to keep replying to posts when the only real answer is "use the search button". I also feel that while it is usually the case that new members get a bit of a by-ball about daft posts, it cannot be the case all the time. It is also a responsibility of new members to try to ingratiate themselves to the rest of the forum, by having a bit of respect for the fact that someone of long standing in the forum has responded to their daft post. Just look at Fozzies post count. They guy has been here a long time helping people, so I think its a bit unjfair to start really dissing him for putting a daft post in it's place.
