After messing about with my C500 I turned it off to remove SD card. Now, when I turn it on, the startup screen comes on followed by the " windows mobile " screen then there's a beep and the green and the light at the top of the phone flashes green and blue alternately. After about 2 mins an error message flashes " windows media player cannot play this file " then the phone switches off and then on again and starts the cycle all over again!! I can't get past this. Have tried removing battery but nothing works! Help please.

sounds like the only option is a hard reset. click on the words hard reset for instructions

Yeah. that's done it. Trouble is... I've lost ALL my contacts, ringtones, photos and videos. Crap! "Cos i have an iMac the SPV won't sync so there's no way of backing stuff up! Is it maybe possible to copy all my contacts to the SD card? Cos if this happens again the SPV's going out the window!! ^_^

^_^ Thanks Ian. Am in the process of trying Pocketmac. It can even make my C500 look like a Mac OS. I may be happy!

bov i'd like to tell u that i'm using pocketmac phone ediction with the spv c500 and works all great, calender tasks email, music photo etc.

The only trouble that u can find is in adressbook: when u create a new contact on the phone or on the mac it works great but when u edit an existing contact it doesn't sync the modifies... for example if u have a contant on both mac and smarphone and u add a phone number in this contact on the mac, on the next sync the new number WILL NOT be added on the smartphone.....

Good Luck
