Guest theodotcom Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 I've seen various software offering GPS services, has anyone actually used any and can anyone say what the best one is. Ideally one that talk to tell you when to turn etc and can spot speed cameras and can be updated. cheers
Guest chucky.egg Posted October 11, 2004 Report Posted October 11, 2004 Try a search for CoPilot, TomTom and Mapopolis I use Mapo and find it very good, but it is a bit expensive IMO TomTom has a nice "birds eye" (elevated) view that makes junctions easier to understand CoPilot has a similar "birds eye" view and has accident/traffic information I know you can get Mapo maps for Western Europe, the USA and some other places, and can add maps (like speed camera maps) I don't know about that with the others, but there are numerous threads so try a search and you will find LOADS of information
Guest Brody Posted October 14, 2004 Report Posted October 14, 2004 Using CoPilot atm, its very good, have used TomTom on a PocketPC and can't knock that! Mapopolis is only a beta atm and isn't quite as robust atm.
