Guest smason5 Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Hi, A colleague and have been playing around with bluetooth. He has a nokia 6230 and I of course have the much better C500 ! We can both send contacts to each other via BT and we've also both managed to send each other photographs and video. However I find it a very much random as to whether it succeeds or not. What seems to happen is: 1) Use file manager to select photo and use 'send via IR'. 2) Yesterday, it would find other bt phones ok but only show names in hex (eg 0019f2E001) where as when you're sending contacts it shows hex first then picks up the correct phone name. Today, it only shows bt phones if they respond to 'do you want to accept data from this phone' message. 3) No data is ever sent. The screen seems to hang. I have to switch off bt before I seem to be able to get into task manager to kill any processes. Does anyone have any idea what's happening? Stuart ps. Just switched the phone off and back on again. It hasn't helped. pps. Just realised that when I beam contacts the icon shows as blue (ie bt) but when I'm trying to send my photo it's showing as red. So it must be thinking it's sending as IR ! I think.
Guest smason5 Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 I managed to send a small video clip that I took yesterday. However any clip or photograph I have taken today doesn't work. In fact what happens now is that when i choose to send via IR and it searches for bt phones, as soon as it finds one it goes straight back to the home screen! I'm stumped as to what's going on.
Guest smason5 Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Thread http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=115475 seems to be the same issue as I am having. No sign of a solution though. Any ideas folks? Stuart
