Guest wingnutLP Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 HI all, I am thinking of getting an SPV E500 and was wondering about the max resolution for video. I assume that it is not capable of doing a fullscreen sideways? if not can you tell me what the max resolution is? I was thinking it would be good to encode some short files like episodes of simpsons etc to keep me entertained on the train! Also if I had a 700meg fille at high res that I wanted to reduce in size and resolution to fit on a memory card are there any good pieces of software available? Thanks... ^_^
Guest Doombrain Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 DVD to PocketPC or DVD to SmartPhone. full size is 200 x 176 on it's side. i've used DDVD to PocketPC, it's not that good. it tends to centre the video with a huge border.

Guest wingnutLP Posted October 14, 2004 Report Posted October 14, 2004 Cool, Thanks for the suggestions I have downloaded pocket dvix encoder and it works a treat for movie files but for dvd films is my only choice DVD to smartphone or is there any freeware/other options? I am off to get my phone this evening and can't wait!
Guest crafty Posted October 14, 2004 Report Posted October 14, 2004 There's plenty of good guides out there for 'backing up' your DVDs to avis and you can then use PocketDivXEncoder. Check out www.doom9.org which has loads good guides etc.
