Using the Bluetooth Tomtom GPS unit...

Okay, so I made a mistake...

I bought the Tomtom Mobile for my c500, after reading several review - decided to get it over the CoPilot... and then I read about the compatability on here!

I know there is a chance that Tomtom will release a fix one day... but I am more of an impulse person than a patient person.

So my question is this : Can I use the Bluetooth GPS unit with any other software?

I have tried it with Mapopolis but with no success. I connected to the GPS unit, and enabled outgoing COM7 - put the settings accordingly in Mapopolis but it couldn't be found?

Do I just need to face facts and get a complete new system?

Hi Mikcanavan, there are others using Mapopolis with a TomTom BT GPS on a C500.

I would recomend you take a look at my post here on page 3 and see if that helps.
