Guest ixus_123 Posted October 14, 2004 Report Posted October 14, 2004 Now that you have bought a larger Mini-SD card, in my case 256mb, what are you doing with your 16mb orange card? At present mine is sitting alone on a shelf. I'm thinking of using it to back up my phonebook & other essential info or maybe try out one of those tiny linux distros with the addition of a USB card reader In reality though, it will probably just sit on the shelf
Guest mavisdavis Posted October 14, 2004 Report Posted October 14, 2004 My 512 comes today and I normally make a self booting disk out of my old memory card with my essential apps games and ringtones/backgounds I put on my phone straight after a hard reset. I always keep a spare card in my wallet any how for data transfers if ever needed. ^_^
Guest phAn Posted October 14, 2004 Report Posted October 14, 2004 Mine is in my minisd-2-SD convertor, and I have it plugged into my cardreader. I'm not really using it... I don't have any other devices that make use of Secure Digital at home. Besides, what's 16mb in the days of multimedia and megapixels ^_^ I remember our neighbour declaring my dad an idiot when he bought our first computer, a 386 with a 80 megabyte harddisk: "What the hell are you going to do with 80 megabytes?!"
Guest sparkisgti Posted October 14, 2004 Report Posted October 14, 2004 in the box with the manuals , hidden away for safe keeping for when it comes time to sell it on ebay when something better comes out ^_^
Guest supermoocow Posted October 14, 2004 Report Posted October 14, 2004 wimpering softly in the corner of my desk draw...
Guest pisquee Posted October 14, 2004 Report Posted October 14, 2004 Haven't got round to buying a bigger card yet, so it is being used for my programs, and photos - no room for my wmas though obviously
Guest Chaser81 Posted October 14, 2004 Report Posted October 14, 2004 Sitting in the mini-sd storage case that my 256MB mini sd came in, not doing very much of anything!!
Guest ghm101 Posted October 14, 2004 Report Posted October 14, 2004 Same as Chaser81 except it is an a SD card box with the small SD card I got with my E100.
Guest AlexMaher Posted October 14, 2004 Report Posted October 14, 2004 Still in the phone as I haven't got round to buying a larger card yet. When I do it will be added to: the 8 meg card from my e100 the now redundant 256 meg card I upgraded to a old 16 meg CF card from my camera All of which I use in a cheapo card reader as I refuse to spend any more on a pen drive.
Guest scopes64 Posted October 14, 2004 Report Posted October 14, 2004 Since buying a 256meg mini SD Mine has been restored to its as supplied Orange state, returned to its original phone box and sits waiting for the call of eBay. One day a better phone will be released and I might need to raise some cash
Guest aatari Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 using mine as a toothpick since replacing with 512mb from orca... as for selling it on ebay, postage would cost more than what you would get for it...hardly worth the time.
Guest peekie Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 Mine is in the mini sd holder and i use it in my digital camera as a spare , you never know if your sd card fills up on holiday , now i don't have to worry
Guest Confucious Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 Mine's sitting arround doing nothing. I use my 1Gb SD card I bought for my old phone in my camera so no use there.
Guest barrybryce Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 Mine hangs out with some redundant SD cards sort of under the monitor or keyboard. I've a card drive, so the SD cards do get used for backups from time to time, when a whole CDR's not worth it.
