SmartFilter and Sprite Backup - Kills SF database?

Anyone else using SmartFilter and Sprite Backup?

I need some help checking whether something is wrong with my phone/installation or if it's a repeatable error

I did a backup of my phone a while back, and afterwards had to delete the smartfilter.vol file so that a new one would be created, because SmartFilter wasn't swapping profiles properly.

After deleting the smartfilter.vol file you have to recreate all your Profiles in SmartFilter, which is a bit of a pain for me with loads of Profiles.

So last night, before I did another backup, I deactivated SmartFilter. This morning I find that SmartFilter has again stopped working!

Can somebody test theirs for me?

1. Create a new profile to block all calls

2. Turn off SmartProfile and select the "block all" profile

3. Phone your mobile - it should divert to voicemail

4. Do a backup using Sprite

5. Phone your mobile again - it lets the call through!

how can i download this smartfilter? can u give me instructions and where can i find this? 8) thanks

It allows you to block lists of callers at different times, either based on your calendar or set times.

To see what i mean (once you've installed it) just choose 'Block All' from the menu and call your mobile. You get diverted to your voicemail without your phone ringing.

SpriteBackup is not able to backup the smartfilter database properly. So it's not your fault.
