Guest Deanus2004 Posted October 14, 2004 Report Posted October 14, 2004 Go to Jessops and for 3.99 for get 2 screen wipes and 3 sheets of the protective film ample size to get 3-4 cuttins for a c500. another tip is that the Picture of the C500 in the orange magazine is actual size so cut the screen out in the picture to use it as a template. Then with the squeegee (provided too) put the film on and push out flat. Much easier than a credit card cos it fits in the screen! Hope this helps...took me 5 mins to do
Guest barrybryce Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 Super advice - thanks! I've been realising I need to start thing about replacing the film that come on the phone as it was starting to curl at the edges.
Guest barrybryce Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 Have now tried it - works a treat!
Guest RickDawson Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 I will be going to jessops tomorrow, to look at this.
Guest RickDawson Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Here you go ^_^ go to www.jessops.com and in the search box on the left put the word 'screen' in. It should be the first result in the list of results you get
Guest Deanus2004 Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 no problem dudes! always happy to share a good thing! much better than the protector that comes on the phone i was using! so clear!
Guest RickDawson Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 I've bought it today, and will be trying them on later. what size do I cut it to? so that it goes upto, but not over the silver color border of the screen? or so that it overlaps it?
Guest shadamehr Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 I've bought it today, and will be trying them on later. what size do I cut it to? so that it goes upto, but not over the silver color border of the screen? or so that it overlaps it? Rick, The first post in this thread indicates that the current orange magazine has an ACTUAL size picture of the C500 in. Thus if you cut out the screen, you can use that as a template. Caution: I'm only repeating what was said and you seem to have missed. I cannot vouch for this - cut it out and see if it fits first...
Guest Deanus2004 Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 as above really im only quoting from personal experiance but the silver ridge around the screen should make it easy to make a template if you dont have a copy of the magazine to hand ! [email protected] - email me if you need anymore help!! ^_^
Guest RickDawson Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 I went ahead and did it last thing yesterday. It is so much better than the one that was on from the factory. I tried to photograph the phone with the old curled edged film, but it would not show up very well If I even bothered to try to photograph the new film I have put on, you would not see it in the photograph even though it is on.
