New Verizon Wireless Sync

Has anyone else tried the new Verizon Wireless Sync?

I did and whoa is it ugly. It blew away nearly all of my old Outlook calendar entries, which I had liked to keep around. It went through all of my contacts and removed some information. It deleted many attachments from email messages.

The problem is that the new Wireless sync wants complete control of the syncing process. The old Wireless sync worked through Active Sync. The new Wireless synch actually turns off any synchronization that used to hapen with Active Synch. So all syncing needs to be done over the air - which eats up minutes and MBs.

I finally figured out how to stop it from pushing data to my phone, which slowed it down.

I hope I was doing something wrong, but I don't think so.

I don't think you were doing anything wrong. I used Wireless sync for a couple of weeks, then ditched it too.
