Guest sheva Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 ciao Opera doesn't work with my Mpx200... I have read that it has been developed and made a will under Mobile Windows 2003... this implicates that many application will work with the new OS To this I aim why Motorola doesn't release a 2003 official version? the choice not to allow the upgrade is absurd... It cannot be talked of competition to the Mpx220 because it is treated of another telephone (camera, Java, double processor, MiniSD,Bluetooth alone to say some differences).. it seems to me illogical to tie and to limit a telephone that wants to be a smartphone to the version of a software that won't almost come + supported by the moment that all the other devices (PDA and other smartphones) they turn with 2003...
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 It's the phone operators that need the push to 2003 and as they want to sell new handsets rather than continue to support out of date handsets it's not in their interest to upgrade the MPX200.
Guest pitercio Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 I tested Opera today on my W2k3-upgraded MPx200... it works, and it is a lot better in rendering than IE. I just missed an option to disable pic downloading
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 Also going from another post, try downloading again as it appears that there may be a problem with two different file sizes doing the rounds the version you need is aparently around the 2MB mark.
