Guest aatari Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 Hey all.. How can I be a pain in the as$ to my fellow commuters and office workmates and send messages to other bluetooth enabled phones with my C500? I cant see any "message" device via bluetooth option or anything... Thanks Dave

Guest ferret Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 Bluejacking only works because contacts are the only things that can be sent without the two phones being paired. The only way to do it is to create a contact where the name field is the message. i.e. create a contact but instead of Name: John Doe, put Name: You've just been bluejacked. Turn on BT, scroll down to your contact, menu > beam. The phone will list any IR devices pointing at you and after a couple of seconds (can take longer) available phones will start to appear. Then hit beam. The beam could still fail, as the phone could have BT on but incoming beams rejected, or it could be someone walking past you, going out of range. Pend will turn to Done if a bluejack has been successful. ^_^

No strictly true. you can send calendar appointments, pictures, notes etc. Try sending a calendar appointment to a mate with a 4am reminder  If you want into the world of bluejacking check out this site BluejackQ.com Have fun ^_^
