Yet another activesync problem

I can't connect to my pc using activesync via usb.

I have just installed sp2 and norton internet security 2005 and the problems seem to be since these installs.

I have disabled nis2005 including the firewall with no luck,i have reinstalled activesync 3.71 with no difference,the windows firewall has been disabled again with no luck.

Windows doesn't even seem to recognise the phone (mpx200 by the way)in device manager.I know the cable is connected to the pc as the phone is charging ok.

As i say everything was fine until these software changes were made.

I really am stumped by this and any help is greatly received.

On the good side I have the same setup only difference is

Norton as I use 2004.

Have you tried to delete the partnership and create a new one?

I did delete the existing partnership to try that but now i dont get the option to create a new partnership ,i guess that wont happen until the phone is connected.

I am going to give it another try now anyway,as it was quite late the last time i tried-try it with a clear head and all that.

now i'm really knackered,did a hard reset-lol,now i can't sync to replace my contacts and everything else-bugger!!

got it!!

Removed all my usb drivers,on reboot when all the drivers were re-installed activesync worked a treat-i am now one happy bunny.
