Guest fishdude Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 I looked in the mpx200 section and couldnt find anything as specific as I needed it. I dloaded pocket tv for my phone and have tv on my pc which allows me to record the simpsons, family guy, futurama, adultswim etc. In mpeg recording mode the smallest file I can get is about ten mb after one minute and the phone doesnt have the ram to run it. Can I make a tiny 22 min. mpeg file for the phone to play or is that simply impossible. Can I watch programs that I make on the phone? Are there any upgrades, mods, or other programs that would allow me to do so. much thx
Guest squall Posted October 16, 2004 Report Posted October 16, 2004 see the articles secion - guides on how to encode video to play on the phone can be found there welcome to the site
Guest fishdude Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 excellent squall thank you. sorry if I stuck my question in where it didnt belong. just found got my smartphone recently and glad I found this site its very sweet
Guest martin Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 You could also convert the MPEG file with PocketDivXEncoder and use Betaplayer to play it on your phone. Link for apps http://betaplayer.corecodec.org 1 Record film to PC as MPEG (with good quality). 2 Load PocketDivXEncoder and open .mpg file. 3 Click the advanced button and then click Smartphone picture for smartphone default parameters. 4 Click Direct Encoding. 5 Transfer coded .avi file to smartphone SD card and play with Betaplayer ^_^ Of course you could modify some of the Smartphone default settings in PocketDivXencoder to increase or reduce the video and audio quality.
