Guest NIGHTMARE Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 this would not be too hard to implement, the phone must run some simple commands to do a vioce dial and also answer a call, and one of these commands must be to activate the headset, and when the call or voicedial ends, their must be a command that disables the headset. if you are playing music and do a voice dial you can hear the music in the background, so you can safely say that once the heaset is activated(through the command that starts it with voicedial or a call) all the phones sounds go though the headset, whether game sounds, music or whatever. battery life would not be comprimised as much as first thought as it is not reliant on opening the line and making a call. i think a program that you could simply go into and select "heaset phone sounds=active/disable" whitch when you select active would run the activate command and turn microphone to mute and visversa for disable would do the job. this would be very simple to program when the command is found out. their must be a way of finding it out, someone must know o maybe their is a way to debug and find out what the phone is doin exactly. anyway if anyone could implement this or has any ideas lease post them here, cheers.
Guest inspectorgadjet Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 uhm....if your bluetooth headset is in handsfree mode, and you start playing music...try pushing the button on the headset...it works for me...I get my music through my bluetooth headset. this has already been discussed in a previous forum.
Guest UnLoCkSmItH Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 When you press the button it tries to voicedial and aftera few minutes this cuts out. The guy is clearly askin if he can listen to music while travellin etc and no wires. Would be a good application but i once managed to do this by accident. I was playin music on my foen thru my bluetooth car kit.. lol someone should be able to sort this. regards
Guest inspectorgadjet Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 That's exactly what I meant...it's not an accident getting your phone audio through the bluetooth headset. This has been discussed here previously. I think you'll find that the first time you want to connect the phone audio to your headset, you will get the voice dial prompt, but cancel that and return to your media player and then push the connect button again and it will work. After that all sounds on the phone go through the headset.
Guest NIGHTMARE Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Posted from my SmartPhone! sorry this only works for a few headsets. ones that dont actually function 100%. what i am talking about is making a universall application so EVERYONE can play music through their bt headset
Guest RossDargan Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 yeah - doesnt work for my bluetrek g2. I can hear the music when I press the button - but as soon as the voice dial doesnt hear anyone, the music stops:(
Guest ZeroK66 Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 If this could be officially supported - the new Logitech/HP bluetooth stereo headphones would be mint!
Guest NIGHTMARE Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 'officially supported' , i dont understand , do you mean by orange? they would not do it, as it is not part of the functionality with a problem, it is just a tweak that i am sure we would all love.
Guest SCIZZORS Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 If this could be officially supported - the new Logitech/HP bluetooth stereo headphones would be mint! :?: Do you mean the bluetake i-phono hi-fi sports headphone kit? here this thing is incredible...plays from the media player and then u hear a ring for a incoming call and a mic flips out..hella dope. I just dont know if that dongle is compatible with the smartphone series
Guest ZeroK66 Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 That is not what I was refering to... http://www.infosyncworld.com/news/n/5377.html They would in theory just work by being bonded to your phone. If smartphone OS officially supported this (As it does a headset) taht would be good! The i-phono sports headset looks damn good!
Guest SCIZZORS Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 cool cool. What ive been hearing is that if u want the device to be ALL Wireless, the device its being paired with needs to support the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP). I dont think that the WM2003 smartphone supports that ..yet.. Maybe it does with the new ROM upgrade? Does any one have the bluetake i-phono hi-fi sports headphone kit and have the ROM upgrade? Maybe this can be verifyed.
Guest NIGHTMARE Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 what would be ideal is a application to allow music to any bluetooth headset, i garentee it would not be hard to implement?
Guest Djarid Posted October 22, 2004 Report Posted October 22, 2004 I am going to be a little antagonistic here (was going to apologise for it but if I was sorry I wouldn't post this now would I). How can you guarantee it is not hard to implement? Can you implement it yourself? do you have indepth working knowledge of bluetooth and how it has been implemented in the HTC Typhoon platform? Or how the bluetooth stack has been implemented in Windows Mobile 2003 SE? For the record any BT headset that supports the handsfree profile should allow you to hear any music. All systems sounds are sent to the BT device in this profile. If you don't get music through then you BT headset isn't in handsfree mode. I also don't think it is worth it, the phone does not support A2DP and so any sound you do hear will be monaural and low quality... I would rather have the wires.
Guest NIGHTMARE Posted October 22, 2004 Report Posted October 22, 2004 have you read the other threads regarding this, handsfree does allow music on a few headset but not most with the c500, i use the g2 whitch is deffinatly supports the hands free profile. i can hear music through the headset when i press the voice dial button, untill voice dial finishes, about 2-4seconds, theirfor their must be a command that opens the gateway and closes it again, all that is needed is to a program with to buttons, open gateway and close gatway assosiated with the relavent commands. i gurentee that this approch would work, but as you point out i do not have a in depth knowlege of 2003SE(and dont know the command) but their is one! all that is neede is someone that knows enough and a programmer(does not have to be a good programmer, it would only be a very basic program afterall, but would unleash a very nice function).
Guest NIGHTMARE Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 i have found the answer http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php...3eaf8065fde9d3e
