Guest dling1971 Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 Wondering if anyone knows how to change the assignment on the blue button. Currently it is is set at messaging center. I would like to reassign it i.e. voice recognition. Any help greatly appreciated.
Guest jive Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 well you dont need to reassign it cause VR is set to the + on the volume.. just hold it for a few sec. and bam you got voice recognition., but i wouldnt mind reassigning it to like file manager or something.
Guest sullivanpt Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 Also, just so you know, the blue button isn't "set" to messaging center, that just happens to be the default selected application in the icon bar on the default home screen. :?: Hmm, let me say that another way... If you scroll left right up or down first, then the blue (action) button will do things other than launch message center. Ehh, I'm bungling this description. I give up.
Guest midnight Posted December 7, 2004 Report Posted December 7, 2004 its the action button, chang the function of the action button and you wont be able to launch anything at all, so.... leave it alone :)

Long Answer: It is the same thing as the enter button on a desktop computer or OK on a PDA. If you could change it you would have a brick. It is not set to the messaging center, it is the function button depending on the screen. Alternative answer: Why? Hold the up volume button on the side of the phone and it will access voice recognition.
