Guest steviesteve Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 Should i keep my new C500? I bought it to replace my MPX200 which i was pleased with but when i heard about c500 with bluetooth camera and its miniscule size i couldnt wait to get my hands on one! However, the handset has frozen 3 times in its first 5 days and I have also notice a very slight green tinge to the LCD screen on the left side. When it has frozen the light still flashes away indicating reception but the phone wont respond to any keypresses and requires removal of battery to resolve. Are these known issues - will it get better or should i just return it and forget about the whole C500 :-( I really like this phone.
Guest martin Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 Welcom steviesteve The C500 photo and video applications store files to internal memory by default so after playing with these applications for a time, memory problems can cause hangups. This may not be your problem but I would have tried hard resetting the phone (restore phone to factory default: see sticky topic) and then changing these applications to use the Storage card. If possible install all applications, rigtones etc to SD card and leave the internal memory free. It is also reported that Homescreens can cause problems so try running the phone with the default homescreen for a while. The green tinge to LCD might be a problem and if that continues then I would consider a replacement.
