Guest Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 Just playing with my SP3, and noticed there is an option to only display my number on calls which are in my contacts, and withhold it on all other calls. Couldn't find mention of this by searching the forum, but it seems a pretty good option. Certainly it's not one I remember seeing on my original SPV, (though I could easily have missed it!), and its not a feature I've noticed on any other phone. Well worth having, I think. Apologies if its been on here before, but I did look first. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest shadamehr Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 I think I remember mention of it on Modaco once before, as being a unique and handy feature, but I can;t recall whether it was said it was unique to SPV's, or unique to the C500 specifically. If you tell me what the menu options are to try this, I'll have a look on my e200 if you like. But I think your post was to really mention how handy it is. And it IS, isn't it... :-)
Guest Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 Yeah, wish I'd had this before, it seems such an obvious thing to have, saves having to remember to dial 141 before some numbers. Menu options, BTW, are start -> settings ->phone -> caller id -> then the options include provide my caller id to 'only my contacts', as well as 'everyone' and 'no-one'. Cool. Posted from my SmartPhone! My E200 (flashed with a I-mate ROM), allows me: Everyone, No one, and Only my contacts. So it sounds like this is a neat feature of SPV's... And to think, all the time I had my E200, I never realised... Typical.
