Guest ProphetX Posted October 17, 2004 Report Posted October 17, 2004 im having a problem getting my phone into headset profile with my bt headset paired. I see the headset icon but it stays in normal Profile. Do you have this problem?
Guest rikwebb Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 Yep, Get the same problem with the Parrot car kit, it stays in Normal. I will try it with a BT headset and see if there is any change. Rik
Guest Mujja Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 When used with the Nokia Advanced Car Kit CK-7W my C500 stays in Normal profile too. Selecting a profile manually has not effect, the profile screen will show a tick next to the profile I have selected but the home screen still displays Normal profile is active. rikwebb, do you have any problems using voice dial from your car kit. I have to press and hold a button but the phone only responds maybe once out of ten attempts. I know the bluetooth connection is working because a double-tap on the button redials the last number called and this always works. Just can't get the voice dial to work when I want it to. Got any tips?

Got any tips? The parrot alows you to send the phonebook entries to the internal memory of the car kit, then add voice dials from there. See if you can add voice dials through the kit rather than through the phone. My advice would be to check if there is a firmware update for the Nokia kit. Its worth noting that Nokia's implementation of BT is a little strange, and therfore the car kit will be geared to nokia phones. Rik
Guest kiaman Posted October 20, 2004 Report Posted October 20, 2004 I have the same problem with the CK-7W car kit, and have had this problem with all handsets I have used with it. These include, 6600, Moto V600, V80, and the C500. It seems to me it is a problem with the car kit not the phones.
