Bluetooth Active sync for Audiovox SMT 5600

Can someone please tell me how I can sync the Andiovox 5600 with bluetooth. I've tried to to sync it through bluetooth but no connection is detected. On the phone i select connect via bluetooth and then hit the get connected and it tries looking for it, but never finds it. I've connected the phone through the bluetooth settings of windows and i see it in my bluetooth devices. On the phone it says something about bond with other bluetooth device which supports serial port or active sync profile as your active sync partner. What is it talking about?
