Guest dogpound16n Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 My regular mpx200 w/ sp os 2002 will not start. When I fully charge the phone and start it up, i it stalls. The motorola yellow flower screen comes up and there is no sound. And it just stays that way. i have to take out the battery in order to turn it off. I don't know wat to do and it is unlocked so i can't service it. And P.s. if i do get this phone to work can someone tell me how to pop up the buttons on my phone because my 3 button and OK button are to flat and semi responsive. Thanks.
Guest kandeman Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 I've also had this problem, it got solved yesterday. What i did : Take out the sim + batt f or 10 minutes Then put it back in an fully charge the battery without turning on the phone Then master reset (Turn it on while pressing the action button)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 18, 2004 Report Posted October 18, 2004 And P.s. if i do get this phone to work can someone tell me how to pop up the buttons on my phone because my 3 button and OK button are to flat and semi responsive. Thanks. The buttons are on a membrane, there is not a way to pop them back up as such, it sounds more like the contact plates on the circuitboard may be worn, thich is something I've not seen before :?

Guest tendomentis Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 Here's a trick I picked up with my MPX200. Hold down the blue button and power up the phone like you're going to do a Hard Reset BUT when it asks if you want to do a Hard Reset (it gives you a choice of Yes or No) Click NO I've had issues where my phone would lock up and just not come back on no matter how many times I rebooted it or took out the battery, and this solved it everytime. Something happens in the software when you hold down the blue button and power up that (I'm guessing) clears out whatever is usually saved from the last power down before powering back up. Hope this helps.
