Orneta Notepad - how to use Cut/Copy/Paste ??

I must be having a thick minute - how do you use the cut/copy/paste functions in Orneta Notepad??

I open a .lnk file, want to copy some of the text from it. No obvious way of selecting any text, so I just use Copy, but then when I paste, the copy hadn't worked.

Have XBar installed and usually use that for such stiuff, but seems to crash me out of Orneta if I try it...

Any help much appreciated, cheers,

Dave.

Hi dave archer. ^_^

On my e100, I use Copy-Paste Software 1.1 for this task together with Xbar1.

Open a Notepad file first (.txt) If you open a .LNK file, you will see the cursor plus the lnk's contents (ex. 51#"Storage CardProgram FilesBetaplayerplayer.exe" )

If you have Xbar1, you can Copy ALL characters in an editable text/numeric field using the command: Record button (to launch Xbar) + Keypad 4

To cut: Record button + Keypad 0 then highlight characters using Action button then finally CUT using the Back button

To paste copied characters: Record button + Keypad 6

You will find Copy-Paste Software version 1.1 (by maxh2003) here:

Pzee, thanks, I have XBar and the excellent Copy Paste - unfortunately it crashes Orneta Notepad

Orneta Notepad appears to have inbuilt copy/paste though, on it's menu, but I can't get it to work....

Dave,

To cut/copy/paste in Ornetta Notepad you have to switch to 'selection mode' from 'menu'. You then move the cursor around to select the text you want to move and from menu/edit pick the action you want to perform. when you've finished cutting/copying/pasting/ you just switch back to 'normal mode' in 'menu'.

A little complicated and cumbersome (compared to 'ctrl+X/C/V') but useable once you get used to it!

Hope that helps!
